The Governance and Compliance Advisor supports the integrity and effectiveness of Arizona’s workforce system through relationship management, regulatory oversight, and strategic alignment. This position provides compliance leadership and technical assistance to Arizona’s 12 Local Workforce Development Boards, working with board chairs, executive directors, and the State Workforce Development Board to ensure adherence to WIOA and related federal and state requirements. The key responsibilities include guiding governance practices, monitoring risk, supporting ethical and transparent operations, developing policy, overseeing corrective action plans, and ensuring required documentation and reporting are completed. The Advisor also develops policy and compliance recommendations for the Arizona Workforce Council Executive Committee and Board to support statewide workforce strategy.
