ADOLESCENT HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER

The Adolescent Health Programs prioritize the need to enhance equitable and optimal initiatives to positively impact the emotional, physical, and social wellbeing of adolescents, including youth with special health care needs. Programs and initiatives implemented include Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Bullying Prevention, Youth Mental Health, Youth Councils, and other adolescent health initiatives. This Adolescent Health Program Manager (AH PM) functions within the Adolescent Health team under the direct supervision of the Adolescent and Family Health Manager. This position is responsible for managing youth mental health, bullying prevention and teen pregnancy prevention programming and reporting, and other adolescent health initiatives as needed, and is responsible for maintaining OWH websites up-to-date. The position assists contracted programs with ensuring that the concepts they plan to implement are evidence-based, realistic, and delivered with fidelity. They will be required to work closely with each contractor to ensure compliance with the contract as well as state and federal law. The AH PM requires frequent statewide travel and occasional national travel. This position will have a hybrid work schedule and there will be occasional in office days for bureau related meetings and/or projects, as needed. This position is responsible for, but not limited to: - Managing adolescent health programming efforts, including but not limited to the Youth Mental Health First Aid initiative and contracts, bullying prevention initiatives, and teen pregnancy prevention contracts. - Providing day-to-day technical assistance to sub-recipients - Review and approval of contractor invoices, narrative reports, and fidelity monitoring reports; monitoring program budgets - Coordination and/or training of health educators for implementation of Youth Mental Health First Aid, Wyman's Teen Outreach Program and other curricula, and professional development and conferences - Coordination, co-facilitation of and participation in the Youth Mental Health Steering Committee and execution of projects. - Identifying opportunities to leverage other adolescent health programming to integrate mental health - Maintaining OWH websites up-to-date and coordinating development of new sites, as needed - Developing, updating, and implementing youth mental health program policy and procedures, quality improvement and tracking tools - Conducting annual contractor site visits and facilitator observations - Collection of data from contractors and reporting to proper channels - Coordinating efforts to develop, foster and maintain relationships internally and externally with community partners in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. - Representing the program and ADHS at various internal and external meetings as needed.

This position is required to provide IT Desktop Support for Arizona Department of Health Services personnel. This position will provide 2nd tier computer support for ADHS to include desktops, and computer peripherals. This position is responsible for routine testing and analysis of Local Area Network hardware and software and for monitoring LAN performance and recommending corrective action when necessary. In addition, this position will serve as a technical resource to Desktop Support technicians, installs and maintains midrange operating systems, test Lab Environment, and related software to ensure stable performance, evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, and troubleshoots networking and operating system problems. This position is required to support the Health Services (HS) domain with approximately 2,400 users. This position supports multiple platforms and or applications, Health Emergency Operations Center, Preparedness Activations, Active Directory, and other application servers as assigned.
