Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern to join the Governor's Office Strategic Planning Team within the Office of Strategic Planning and Budget. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in state government supporting statewide strategic planning and performance management efforts that contribute to the achievement of the Governor’s priorities for Arizona. You will have the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with professional development opportunities both within our office and beyond. In this role, you will support key milestones and help facilitate processes from start to finish, playing a vital part in the success of strategic planning efforts across various state departments.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in facilitating key milestones for various projects of the OSPB Strategic Planning Team.
  • Assist with agency communications including responding to emails, initiating requests and processing agency deliverable submissions
  • Collaborate across Governor’s Office teams to ensure the smooth execution of ongoing projects.
  • Support the team with research and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  •  Minimum of two years previous work experience
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in the development and management of data spreadsheets (i.e. Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
