This is an entry level position responsible for performing journey level accounting-related tasks within an automated fiscal services system and HRIS.

This position has some flexibility for telework.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to, payroll, travel, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Responsible for gathering, compiling and reconciling fiscal data, preparing and processing fiscal transactions. Reviewing, analyzing and interpreting laws, policies, and procedures related to finance and related assignments. Applies accounting principles and practices to ensure agency compliance with statewide accounting guidelines related to finance accounting and payroll.

Perform general administrative duties including filing, mail distribution and record retention. Responsible for various types of data entry.

Knowledge of:

• Principles, concepts, and techniques of government accounting and fiscal management
• Procedures, methods, and office equipment used in statistical record-keeping

• Personal computers and various software including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
