The Office of the General Counsel is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant 1. This position is responsible for processing Fee For Service claim disputes/appeals.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Enter data for Fee For Service claim disputes/appeals into our case management system, process electronic Fee For Service claim disputes
• Retrieve eligibility and enrollment status
• Scan large volume of documents
• Route matters to appropriate hearing officer
• Reopen intake unit matters upon request
• AHCCCS programs to properly identify information on claim disputes and appeals.
• Principles and practices of administration and management and rules, regulations and operations.
• Proficient typing/keyboarding skills; data entry skills.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel or comparable applications; Rocket TE (formerly PMMIS), Docuware, Prolaw.
• Proofread with high degree of accuracy; identify discrepancies.
• Learn administrative and managerial skills.
• Analyze and resolve routine problems.
• Follow rules, regulations and operating procedures as it applies to the position.
• Work effectively with others (internal and external).
• Multi-task, adjust priorities to meet deadlines.
Responsible experience in a position requiring skill in oral and written communication, initiative, judgment and independence in the performance of duties; or an Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college or university and one year of the required experience; or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
• Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
• Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
