The Arizona State Treasurer's Office is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to provide professional administrative and accounting support to the Administrative Services Division.
The job duties of an Administrative Assistant II provide a wide variety of confidential administrative and secretarial support to administrators and agency; conveys information regarding agency functions and procedures; composes correspondence on a wide variety of subjects; performs a variety of complex administrative tasks including research and coordinating administrative matters between organizational units.
• Process and record various Securities for State Agencies.
• Correspond with customers to provide information, assist with research, and resolve issues.
• Exercises discretion applies technical knowledge and provides excellent customer service to achieve customer service goals.
• Provide support to the Administration team with processing and approval of various accounting and procurement documents.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
• Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of administration and management
• Policies and procedures established for the organization
• General office practices, including techniques for screening and sorting incoming correspondence, visitors, and telephone calls
• Effective time management and organization
• Written and verbal communication
• Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Researching and problem-solving skills
• Customer Service including the public
• Experienced is Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships
• Apply work management techniques
• Perform other duties as necessary
• Ability to plan, analyze, coordinate activities, and establish priorities
• Ability to develop, document and train effective operating procedures
• Maintaining various records through automated systems
• Effectively and efficiently multi-task
• Perform standard administrative functions
• Work independently
The ideal candidate for the position has a Minimum of 1-year administrative experience, government experience (local, county, state or federal), and experience working in an office environment performing administrative tasks.
Candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal history investigation.
