This position supports the Human Resources (HR) administration and management within South central District. This position also serves as the region's administrative liaison and assists the Regional Training coordinator. Duties include but are not limited to; assisting in Human Resource functionalities inclusive of recruitment, personnel request changes, position control and maintenance, process/compliance training, commercial driver's license management and compliance, performance management support, and employee relations related activities. Collaborates with leadership within the districts and partners with central human resources. Including procurement activities for the district, facilities and asset management, and payroll support.
Works with highly confidential information. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies. Serves as a liaison between the region’s management team and HR.
Serves as administrative lead for the District. Organizes training and work assignments. Coaches and develops other administrative staff.
Evaluates training requirements for the District inclusive of sending notifications for compliance, and coordinating and scheduling necessary classes. Promotes adherence to the federally required drug and alcohol DOT testing for CDL drivers.

Three years administrative experience supporting a large number of employees and managers.
Advanced experience with Google Workspace.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
