As an Administrative Services Officer, The Environmental Administrator will oversee the Section's UST (Underground Storage Tank) Service Provider Program. The UST Service Provider Program was established in order to ensure that work performed on UST systems is done by certified individuals in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes and Arizona Administrative Code. The UST Service Provider Coordinator processes applications, maintains databases, conducts outreach to Service Providers, and other functions of maintaining the program.
This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).

● Review UST Service Provider application forms for new and existing individuals to confirm registration requirements are met and information is accurate in ADEQ's databases.
● Conduct outreach for Service Providers with approaching expiration dates for certifications.
● Conduct enforcement actions for Service Providers that are not operating according to regulations.
● Facilitate improvements and updates to the UST Service Provider Program.
● Coordinate with other programs in the UST Section regarding information needed from the UST Service Provider Program.
● Knowledge of or the ability to learn UST registration and other regulatory requirements.
● Knowledge of or the ability to learn ADEQ database software.
● Knowledge of the principles and practices of administrative support and office management.
● Knowledge of or the ability to learn principles, concepts, and current practices in government administration, state laws, rules, regulations, policies, and practices
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills.
● Capable of reviewing and interpreting applications and certifications.
● Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate compliance data; communicate effectively, orally, and in writing; apply critical thinking; problem-solving.
● Knowledge of or ability to learn and apply LEAN concepts, principles, and tools used to create and deliver the most value from the customer's perspective while consuming the fewest resources and engaging people in continuous problem-solving.
● Minimum of an Associate of Science Degree in a related field and two years responsible administrative experience equivalent to or above the Administrative Assistant 3 level in such fields as personnel, budget analysis, purchasing, accounting, data processing, or related administrative activities.
● Experience working in a government agency or similar private industry.
