Job Summary: The Arizona Department of Revenue is currently seeking a motivated, innovative, and solutions-driven individual to work as our new Applications Developer. This position is part of the Oracle Support Team currently supporting the Tax Accounting System (TAS) developed in Oracle Forms. This application is responsible for analyzing, debugging, and resolving defects in TAS related to payment collections, payment distributions, and filings for all citizens and businesses within the State of Arizona. Qualified candidates should be proficient in SQL/PLSQL and Oracle Forms having the proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and provide documented solutions to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties: Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyzes debugs and resolves defects in applications
• Supports production systems, analyzes and resolves production problems in a timely manner, resolves end-user service requests as assigned.
• Engages with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and contributes to completion of functional specifications
• Prepares technical documentation on application specifications
• Creates deliverables according to the Software Development Lifecycle such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation
• Develops and modifies existing applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of
• Considerable working knowledge of multiple programming languages, multiple database management systems, and multiple development platforms.
• Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, PLSQL, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Release and configuration management
• Technologies and underlying principles
• Fundamentals of objects oriented and service software design principals

Skilled in
• Strong customer service.

Selective Preference(s): The ideal candidate for this position will have:
• Bachelor's degree plus 4 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with Continuous Improvement or LEAN is preferred.
Pre-Employment Requirements: Candidates for this position will be required to submit Tax Filing Records, Employment Verification Check and Fingerprints that will be used to check criminal history records from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).
