This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (2 days per week in the office/hoteling and 3 days remote).
The Performance Auditor's primary function is to develop and leverage data analytic techniques to increase the coverage of audit assessed risk for all audits conducted by Audit & Analysis, and the depth to which these risks are examined. This position will work independently, under the limited supervision of the Performance Audit Supervisor, assist in audit planning, development of audit programs, and reporting of performance audit results. Complex and difficult audits are to be performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and the Institute for Internal Auditors' International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), to recommend controls to: (i) minimize risk; (ii) enhance efficiencies and effectiveness of operations and; (iii) increase accountability. The position will ensure audit conclusions are well supported by sufficient and appropriate audit evidence, and produce high quality written reports presenting complex data clearly and concisely, needing only minimal revision.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other field emphasizing analytical skills, research, writing and organization of data. Minimum of 2 years of professional, complex, and diverse audit experience. Prefer CPA, CIA or other professional designation.
Valid state driver's license with an acceptable 39 month driving history
