The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Benefits Services Division (BSD) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Benefits Member Services Specialist. This role involves independently performing a comprehensive range of duties to assist State Benefits members, both via phone and in person. The specialist will explain complex system policies and procedures, counsel State active employees, retirees, long-term disability participants, and COBRA participants on various Benefits programs and coverages. Additionally, conducts public relations activities such as instructional programs, employer visits, meetings, workshops, and informational sessions.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills to navigate various payroll systems and external sources, including ASRS, PSRS, CORP, the three state universities, and the General Accounting Office. They will utilize resources effectively to resolve multiple coverage issues and apply legal aspects of insurance policies for coverage determinations. The selected candidate will work well in a fast pace remote environment.
