The Department of Gaming is looking for an individual who will be able to work independently and as part of a team. Our Boxing/MMA Program Specialist assists staff at Boxing and MMA weigh-ins and events. Process and issue licenses to boxers, MMA combatant’s, corner men, and others at the weigh-ins and events. This includes accepting and processing all payments, taking photographs of applicants uploading them into a database, and entering all license information into said database. Position requires travel to events, which requires some evening events, and overnight stays. Work week is normally Monday through Friday, but may vary if Boxing and/or Mixed Martial Arts events are scheduled, approximately 60% of the time, this position would need to work late-nights and weekends. Bilingual in Spanish REQUIRED.

Candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal history investigation. Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
