The person in this position will perform routine maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and a high emphasis on grounds maintenance.
The person will also perform scheduled preventative maintenance, moving of furniture and belongings under the supervision of the Physical Plant Director and with direction from higher classification Maintenance staff.
•Routine maintenance tasks independently and/or assisting other maintenance staff
•Assistance to other department staff as needed
•Attend training sessions and staff meetings
•Basic construction, preventative, and grounds care methods
•Occupational safety guidelines
•Application of basic construction, preventative maintenance, and grounds care methods
•Communicate with others of different ethnic, cultural, religious, and social backgrounds in a professional manner with specific regard to customer service
•Apply safe, efficient, and productive skills to basic construction, preventative maintenance, and ground care methods
•Work varied hours and weather conditions
•The ideal candidate would have good knowledge, skills, and ability with grounds care methods and equipment
•The ideal candidate would also have KSA's in patching and painting of varied wall medias
•Valid motor vehicle drivers license
