The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an experienced corporate/large business manager to assume the Business Operations Manager position. This position oversees account operations, driving performance, revenue growth, customer retention, and new business development. The role analyzes performance data, manages team operations, and implements strategies to optimize results. Provides coaching, supports sales pipeline development, and identifies process improvements. Collaborates with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery while promoting a high-performance, customer-focused culture and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and standards.

Job Duties:

- Provides leadership for industry account strategy to drive revenue growth, customer retention, and new account development
- Monitors revenue performance across Industry Account Managers, evaluates project and caseload distribution, and recommends data-driven adjustments to industry assignments to optimize coverage and results
- Analyzes market and customer trends to identify growth opportunities and improve performance
- Provides day-to-day management, coaching, and mentorship to Industry Account Managers
- Establishes performance expectations, monitors individual and team outcomes, and ensures alignment with sales goals and customer service standards
- Fosters accountability, responsiveness, and effective coordination across the team
- Develops, supports, and reviews sales pipelines to ensure sustained growth and customer engagement
- Oversees key customer relationships and supports complex or high-impact accounts as needed
- Participates in industry events and trade shows to promote products and services and strengthen external partnerships
- Coordinates with internal teams, including marketing, accounting, logistics, and production shops, to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery
- Supports issue resolution, workflow alignment, and process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures, including sanitation, security, and safety-sensitive position requirements
- Will occasionally supervise inmate workers assigned to the customer service area, including reviewing work products, providing training, correcting discrepancies, and maintaining confidentiality
- Attends staff training
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Selective Preference(s):

- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in business operations, account management, or related field

- At least two (2) years of experience leading or supervising teams, including coaching and performance management

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
