What You’ll Do

As a Behavioral Health Technician 1 - ROVER, you’ll:

  • Work full-time, 40 hours a week on-site.

  • Supervise patient’s daily living, social skills, and money management.

  • Communicate with patients in various situations as directed by a supervisor.  

  • Provide patient care and support. 

  • Document patient care and implement treatment plans under general supervision.

  • Respond to medical and psychiatric codes and intervene pro-actively using approved techniques.

  • Assist with maintaining an environment that supports patient rights.

  • Work in a 24/7 controlled medical/behavioral health facility under the direction of the Lead.



We’re looking for someone who can: 

  • Provide direct care and activities for daily living. 

  • Provide therapeutic techniques in an individual and group setting.

  • Understand environmental security and population management.

  • Can provide crisis management that includes de-escalation and conflict resolution. 

  • Provide active listening and communications skills including reading and writing.

  • Capable of problem resolution that includes decision making and judgment skills.

  • Practice patience, perseverance, and resilience.

  • Demonstrate an ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.



What We Need From You (Required Qualifications)

  • Be able to work in a 24/7 controlled medical/behavioral health facility.

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • A valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or apply for one within seven (7) working days after beginning employment

  • Attend required training at start of employment  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competency in management and leadership techniques

  • Competency in conducting training and meeting facilitation

  • Experience with conducting thorough searches within a medical/behavioral health facility.

  • Capable of operational activity coordination.

  • Skills in quality improvement.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (ex: psychology, social work, counseling)

  • CPR and NVCI Certification (you will be trained)
