If you're passionate about working with children and families, becoming a Case Aide at DCS can be a life-changing experience. After four years of successful service, you’ll also be eligible for promotion to the DCS Specialist Trainee position ($21.70/hour).

What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Case Manager – Case Aide, you’ll:

  • Support children and families under the direction of a Case Manager
  • Provide direct services in Department of Child Safety programs
  • Transport clients and ensure proper use of child safety seats
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate services
  • Supervise parent-child visits
  • Refer clients to community resources
  • Attend court hearings and required meetings
  • Document client interactions and activities
  • Provide general case management and clerical support

You may also be required to work outside of regular hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Can:

  • Build and maintain trusting, professional relationships with children, parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Demonstrate compassionate communication and active listening when supporting families during sensitive situations
  • Use attention to detail when completing clerical tasks such as data entry, file maintenance, and document preparation
  • Collaborate effectively with case managers, supervisors, and service providers as part of a team-centered approach
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and mobile technology to communicate, schedule, and document work
  • Safely transport children to appointments while maintaining compliance with driving and safety requirements

What We Need From You (Required Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory 39 month driving record
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Work history, Central Registry and Public Record will be considered

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, and the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements.
