Administrative Services oversees all administrative and fiscal functions of the Commission,
including accounting, payroll, procurement, human resources, and general services. We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our Business Office team.
Your primary responsibility will involve assisting the HR Manager with benefits administration, new hire onboarding, records retention, HR operations, talent acquisition, staff training, leave administration and implementation of various personnel-related initiatives. As a member of the Business Office, you may be asked to pitch in on general administrative tasks and will act as a liaison between agency staff and management, elected officials, other agencies, and the public.
-Skilled Human Resources professional with broad experience supporting HR management.
-Assist with key HR functions including:
-Benefits administration
-Talent acquisition
-Leave administration
-Staff training
-New hire onboarding
-Records retention
-HR operations
-Implementation of personnel-related initiatives
-Provide administrative support as a member of the Business Office team.
-Serve as a liaison between agency staff, management, and elected officials to facilitate communication and coordination.
-Recommend and support process improvements while adhering to established protocols and requirements.
-Experienced with automated personnel and payroll systems.
-Knowledgeable in federal and state employment laws, State Personnel Rules, and HR policies.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel); able to learn new software quickly with minimal training.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy; proactive in self-auditing work.
-Effective time management skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
-Highly skilled in handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
-Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with diverse individuals across all levels of the organization.
Professional HR certification not required, but a plus
