Division of Managed Care (DMC)
This position will remain open until filled.
The Compliance Administrator is responsible for developing, managing and overseeing adherence to compliance standards for Direct Care Worker training and testing, and Community Service Agencies representing two unlicensed provider types. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing audit strategies including developing data collection and summaries to identify and trend compliance performance.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Monitoring and overseeing the managed care organizations compliance with both direct care worker training and testing and Community Service Agency credentialing standards including performing audit functions.
• Developing and performing desk audits and approving new direct care worker training and testing programs.
• Managing direct care worker training and testing helpdesk and technical assistance requests for users in the online testing records database, including identifying ways to improve processes and streamline user experience.
• Leading strategic discussions and proposing/writing policy changes to update compliance standards and/or streamline processes in collaboration with SMEs across the agency, Managed Care Organizations and the provider industry.
• Developing strategies and work products (e.g. technical assistance trainings, data reports) to support Managed Care Organizations and providers to comply with AHCCCS policy standards including execution of direct training and technical assistance activities.
Knowledge:
• Service delivery systems and the provision of attendant Care and rehabilitation support services for individuals with disabilities and/ or behavioral health needs
• Concepts and techniques associated with strategic planning, implementation, process improvement and change management
• Documentation development and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and SharePoint
Skills:
• Basic auditing and compliance processes including establishing policy requirements, compliance standards, auditing records and tracking compliance milestones
• Strong organizational and project management skills including meeting coordination, documentation, follow-up and tracking progress on short-term and long-term projects and initiatives
• Strong communication and public speaking skills including the ability to communicate with diverse audiences of both internal and external stakeholders from Executive Management to AHCCCS members
• Strong technical writing skills; must be skilled in producing written information in a succinct and organized manner that is appropriate for the intended audience
• Problem analysis and ability to make recommendations for improvements, including program evaluation or policy development
• Statistical analysis, data analysis, and research methods
• Developing expectations/goals and measured results and raising the level of team performance and capability
Abilities:
• Work independently with minimal direction
• Identify both internal and external data sources, analyze and summarize data for stakeholders
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize projects and meet deadlines
• Motivate internal and external stakeholders effectively to obtain pertinent information for decision making and to communicate direction efficiently and effectively
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships including community-based organization, advocacy groups and stakeholder groups
• Accurate and complete data entry and documentation
Minimum:
• Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field OR; 5 plus years experience to include: 1 - 2 years experience in the provision of home and community-based services or rehabilitation services.
• 3 years experience in audit, compliance or project management fields.
Preferred:
• 3 - 5 years experience in the provision of home and community-based services or rehabilitation services.
• Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
