Job Summary:

The Division of Health Care Management (DHCM) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Contract Management Coordinator. This position will oversee the tracking and maintenance of the managed care contracts and/or AHCCCS Contractor Operations Manual (ACOM), and AHCCCS Medical Policy Manual (AMPM). Providing support to the Contracts and Policy Administrator and two Assistant Directors within the division, researching complex and/or participating on special work groups and coordinating the efforts of numerous staff across multiple divisions. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee and tracks the development and/or revisions for the AHCCCS Contractor Operations Manual (ACOM) and AHCCCS Medical Policy Manual (AMPM) policies, attachments, exhibits, forms, and other materials.

• Organizing Policy Committee review, public comment feedback, and publishing of the policies to the appropriate location on the website.

• Obtain input into solicitations on critical management care contract provisions/revisions from stakeholders within and outside DHCM, coordinate with subject matter expert review/revision and feedback. Tracking contract revisions to ensure alignment across all lines of business.

• Assist in preparing the required documentation for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to obtain approval of new and renewal contracts within established time-frames. Assist with contract development/ amendments and/or Request For Proposal process as needed within the unit.

• Manage ad hoc administrative projects that may involve researching laws, statutes, rules or other federal, state or local guidance and making recommendations or providing feedback based on that research.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

• Requires an extensive knowledge of technical writing, editing, and proofreading of policy development and distribution processes.

• Requires knowledge of researching Federal healthcare regulations, Arizona state statutes and administrative codes, AHCCCS policy documents and applicable Division documents and related integrated healthcare guidance.

• Must possess a thorough understanding of policies across multiple functional areas within the agency.

• Must possess organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to prioritize projects and manage competing deadlines to ensure successful project completion.

• Requires technical writing, editing, and proofreading.

• Requires the ability to work cooperatively with others across agency divisions as needed.

• Requires the ability to produce effective written communication; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Selective Preference(s):

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the functions of this position and/or Direct experience (2-4 years) in a health care environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-4 Experience in a regulatory environment and experience with Medicaid managed care contracting.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
• Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
