Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Region Customer Service Manager, this position will be responsible for providing over the counter customer service which includes registering and inspecting watercraft for compliance with Federal requirements, issue tags and licenses and stamps in compliance with State and Federal laws.

Job Duties:

Major duties include:
Balance cash, credit card and daily receipts to cash register drawer
Interact with the public, inter-department and other agency personnel to accurately solve complex hunting, fishing, boating, licensing and registration issues that arise either in person or by telephone
Answer questions and offer advice on how to deal with problem wildlife, identify wildlife through the use of manuals and other reference materials
Writing and entering requisitions through the Arizona Procurement Portal using correct funding and codes as well process invoices
Responsible for cash security and accountable forms which include licenses, tags, stamps and decals
Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Candidates will have knowledge of Game and Fish Commission rules and orders; A.R.S. Title 5, Title 33 and other applicable Arizona Revised Statues; U.S. Coast Guard Federal requirements governing states registration; law enforcement practices; hull identification and safety equipment; terminology of watercraft structures and equipment; money handling. Candidates will have skill in active listening, problem solving, organization; multitasking; oral and written communication; customer service; grammar usage; 10-key. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. The candidate must have knowledge of basic office equipment and filing skills.

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate will have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and have experience in accounting practices, and a working knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail and money handling abilities.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Position requires possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.).
