Ready to turn your passion for hunting into a career where you make a real impact? The Arizona Game and Fish Department is looking for a dynamic Customer Service Representative 2 to join our Hunt Draw team!

If you are an outdoors enthusiast who loves hunting and possesses the customer service skills to help fellow Arizonans navigate the hunt draw process, we want you on our team! This isn't just a desk job—it's a chance to be at the heart of Arizona's conservation efforts and wildlife management.

In this role you’ll be the go-to person for internal and external customers, answering questions, resolving concerns, and providing expertise on hunting regulations, policies, and procedures. You’ll be deeply involved in the Hunt/Draw program, facilitating statewide Population Management Hunts, Copper State Draw, and assisting in the development of hunt application forms and regulations. From processing big game applications to guiding the public through the rules that protect our state's wildlife, your daily work directly supports the outdoor traditions Arizonans love.

What You’ll Do:
• Communicate with the public and regional staff regarding Hunt/Draw program details.
• Process big game applications and manage tags with precision.
• Help shape our policies by participating in the development and implementation of Hunt/Draw procedures.

Our work environment offers training opportunities and encourages career development. After 12 months in a CSR2 position, employees have the opportunity to be promoted to a Customer Service Representative 3 through the reallocation compensation strategy for career progression purposes.

Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Draw Section Customer Service Supervisor, the Hunt Draw Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing expertise to internal and external customers, responding to and corresponding on the telephone, by mail, online or in person, regarding complaints, concerns, problems and other pertinent information dealing with the Hunt/Draw program and Department guidelines, policies, procedures, laws and rules.

Major duties may include:

• Correspond with the public, Regional Office Supervisors and other Department Branches regarding complaints, concerns, problems, schedule changes and other pertinent information dealing with the Hunt/Draw program.

• Provides expertise to internal and external customers pertaining to agency guidelines, policies, procedures, laws, and rules.

• Facilitates all phases of the draw for issuing big game tags while adhering to Arizona Statue and Commission Rule.

• Reviews federal and state laws and regulations governing the statewide Hunt/Draw Program. Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relative to the Hunt/Draw program.

• Facilitates all statewide Population Management Hunts and Hunter Pool Applications.

• Facilitates Copper State Draw.

• Assist in updates of the hunt application form and Department regulations prior to each big game lottery draw.

• Assists in preparing and storing Hunt/Draw records for retention and destruction.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Candidates will have knowledge in/of: State and Federal rules, regulations, Commission Rules, specifically pertaining to Article 1, and in depth knowledge of ARS 17 as they apply to the Hunt/Draw Program; Department policies and procedures; law enforcement practices, concentrating on investigations and documentation; government accounting principles and procedures; training methods; state personnel rules; various computer programs.

Candidates will have skills in: active listening; problem solving; organization; multitasking; oral and written communication; customer service; working in an environment with high-volume, heavy workload; grammar usage; 10-key and money handling.

Candidates will have the ability to: resolve complex and technical problems for a multi location operation; manage multiple projects with a program; organization and time management; total quality management styles and practices; work independently; respond to others with tact, diplomacy and patience; to maintain harmonious working relationships with all levels of Department staff and external customers; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to use discretion and independent judgement.

Selective Preference(s):

Candidates should have at least one (1) year of experience in a customer service position.
