Salary: $34,129.05 - $54,573.58

Job Summary:

The Department of Public Safety is filling multiple DPS Service Employee positions in the Tucson and Phoenix areas.  With varying schedules and functions, these positions are designed to provide training and experience in a wide array of functions, operations, and units.  The successful candidates will perform special projects, functions, and administrative tasks with flexible schedules or hours available for some positions.  We invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join a team, receive training, and have opportunities for promotion and advancement.  Application period may close without notice.

Under direct supervision, performs work in a structured or unstructured program to gain practice work experience in one of the administrative, professional or technical fields within the Department.  May rotate from assignment to assignment within the agency to learn and contribute to administrative, professional or technical processes.  Performs related duties as assigned.  This classification is designated as uncovered.  Incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Minimum Qualification(s):

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Office setting.

2.  Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 35 pounds).

3.  Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Applicants must complete an examination process.  A polygraph and background investigation are required for successful applicants.  All newly hired employees will be subject to the E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification Program.
