Job Summary:

This position assists in human resources (HR) duties related to Employee Relations, Equal Opportunity and Leave Management. This position will be assigned tasks related to the daily needs of these HR units and will act in a cross-functional capacity. This will include supporting progressive discipline, leave and benefits and accommodations as needed across the entire agency. This position may require travel.

Job Duties:

Assist in administrative personnel investigations to include conducting fact-finding, professional report writing, conducting investigative interviews and writing and processing employee discipline.

Assist in leave and benefits documents for employees that are requesting Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Paid Parental Leave (PPL), Light-Duty and/or accommodations. This will also include researching benefits inquiries, concerns, issues and other needs.

Create, facilitate and deliver training related to Employee Relations, Equal Opportunity and Leave Management to various work groups. This may include in-state travel.

Selective Preference(s):

Post-Secondary degree in Human Resources or a related field, Human Resources certification (OHR, SHRM, HRCI, etc.) and/or relevant experience in Human Resources.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Valid Driver's License

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
