We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Employee Relations Intern to join the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources by supporting real-world employee relations initiatives alongside experienced professionals. The intern will assist with day-to-day employee relations operations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain exposure to a variety of HR functions. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to ADHS’s mission while developing practical skills and building a strong professional network.
- Assist the Employee Relations team in drafting discipline letters, transcribing investigative and fact-finding recordings, and assisting in drafting reports.
- Assist in answering questions from the Employee Relations mail box.
- Assist in maintaining the OSHA log and reporting incidents into the system.
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Interest in state-level public health policy and practice
