Job Summary:

Do you enjoy working with a variety of people and learning new technology? If so, this role is for you! You will be responsible for working closely with industry leading tech companies to establish statewide agreements that help position the State of Arizona and its agencies as a technology leader in State Government. We are looking for someone who loves to negotiate enterprise agreements, can conduct market research, and help agencies innovate through existing and new statewide contracts. You will advise procurement and service owners on the statewide acquisition of established and emerging technologies, including identifying market trends and cutting edge products. This position will help shape the tech that serves and supports 35,000 state employees.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Innovation and is excited to identify enterprise agreement opportunities, negotiate agreement pricing, and secure purchasing pathways for best of breed technologies. 
  • Detailed oriented and experienced in reviewing or managing IT agreements or licenses. 
  • A dedicated collaborator that will work with procurement to design/negotiate IT contracts. 
  • An independent driver performing product and market research and crafting presentations. 
  • A trusted partner responsible for engaging with vendors, procurement and agency customers.
Job Duties:
  • Review contracts and manage renewals to ensure accurate pricing to agencies/customers. 
  • Manage vendor agreements and perform customer pricing audits/reviews. 
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new agencies/customers to statewide contracts. 
  • Maintain vendor relationships and be the primary contact for questions regarding pricing and licensing. Structure. 
  • Support engagement managers and services owners with pricing and pricing quotes tied to enterprise agreements.. 
  • Partner with the State Procurement Administrator to identify and develop cutting edge technology procurement methods. 
  • Maintain the forms, dashboard, and enterprise agreements information in SmartSheets.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

● Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience in a relevant field.
● Prior experience in contracts and negotiations is required.
● Proven track record of excellence in the area of customer service.
● Knowledge and experience in the areas of software and/or ITto drive planning, procurement, and development based initiatives.
● Knowledge of procurement and contract life cycle management.
● Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with all levels of an organization.
