The Arizona Exposition and State Fair (AESF) is seeking an Equipment Operator I, with a Class B license to be a part of a fantastic crew that thrives in a work environment that we enjoy having fun contributing to the largest annual event, attracting more than 1.1 million people at the Arizona State Fair!
As the Equipment Operator I, you will safely operate single and multi-axle vehicles, flatbed, and dump trucks to pick up, haul and deliver supplies, materials, and equipment. In this position, you will operate tractor-mounted power mowers and two-wheel drive front-end loaders to load and unload materials.
In this position, you will skillfully operate heavy equipment including, but not limited to, condor trash truck to the city dump and water truck on the grounds, forklift to move barriers, ticket booths, entrance gates, etc. This responsibility will include the performance of pushing, compacting, grading, and covering municipal solid waste. You will be responsible for ensuring the state vehicle is in compliance with the agency’s safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensuring that all agency, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the truck. As needed, you will assist other trades. In this position, you may perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment, assuring that vehicles and equipment are properly serviced and maintained.
