Job Summary:

The Arizona State Treasurer’s Office is seeking a qualified, professional and experienced candidate to serve as the External Affairs Coordinator. This position will provide administrative support to the executive staff while striving to increase public awareness of the programs and duties of the Treasurer’s Office. This role will give administrative support and coordinate outreach efforts to multiple teams within the agency, including the Executives, Communications, AZ529, Financial Literacy and Investments.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for the execution of the Treasury Agency’s external relations functions. Represents the Agency to various government agencies, external organizations, and the public.
• Develop and execute marketing for the various programs in the agency.
• Establish professional relationships with current and potential external partners in order to build a trusting relationship between partners and the office.
• Management of the executive calendar.
• Serves as the liaison between the executive team by ensuring inquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
• Coordinates to arrange detailed travel arrangements and other logistical needs for the executive team.
• Communicates with internal and external personnel to gather information needed to ensure successful meetings and events. Assists with the coordination of various events.
• Assures the quality and appropriateness of agency communications.
• Assist with development of presentations and other meeting materials.
• Provide administrative support to the executive team.
• Duties mostly require traditional hours but will require some non-traditional hours (evenings and/or weekends).

• Must be highly proficient in using software programs including Microsoft Office Suite and have strong computer skills.
• Must have sharp written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and delivering a high quality of work product.

• Exceptional standards of professionalism with superb level of tact and discretion.

Selective Preference(s):
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Business, Communications or Public Relations.
