Job Summary:

This recruitment will be used to establish an 18-month eligibility list to fill current and future vacancies. Apply promptly; application period will close when a sufficient number of applications are received.  

Under direction of a Facilities Supervisor, coordinates the planning, construction, and remodeling of various facilities of the Department; gives instructions to and reviews the work of contractors; aids in the planning, development, and installation of new sites, facilities, and buildings. Performs related duties as assigned. This is a competitive classification.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires any combination, to total six (6) years, of related education and experience in the assigned areas of building maintenance, project management, contract administration, or other related field. Work experience must equal at least two (2) years to include one (1) year of experience using AutoCAD software.  Allowable education includes up to two (2) years of technical vocational training in construction methods, architectural drafting or related field; or up to four (4) years of college courses in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or related field.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver license.

May be required to travel to perform certain work functions.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

Office setting, construction sites, rooftops, and warehouses.

May be exposed to fumes, or dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, and moderate to loud noise levels.

Progression to the next step requires an overall performance rating of at least "Standard" in the last 12 months.

Must successfully complete the examination process.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Applicants must complete an examination process.  A polygraph and background investigation are required for successful applicants.  All newly hired employees will be subject to the E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification Program.
