AHCCCS is looking for a Financial Manager to help support the Agency’s mission of reaching across Arizona to provide comprehensive, quality health care to those in need. Under the direction of the Financial Administrator, this position will perform work of significant difficulty, managing the Mental Health Block Grant. This position will provide oversight on financial matters within this funding line of business and will be required to provide administrative supervision of staff. This position will serve as a liaison to contractors in receipt of the funding identified and will provide technical assistance and coordination with other internal divisions as needed, to meet the needs of these funding requirements, to include contractor expenditure report completion, budget availability, and education on rules.
Major duties include:
Knowledge of:
● State government, governmental accounting, accounting software, and systems;
● Federal Grants Management, Federal Regulations, and grant policies and procedures;
● State Appropriations
● State Procurement Code, Arizona Procurement Portal (APP), State of Arizona Accounting Manual (SAAM) and Policies and Procedures; and
● Methods, techniques, and procedures for providing effective technical assistance and quality assurance.

Preference:
• Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.

• Travel is required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
