The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) is seeking a Program Administrator to join the AmeriCorps team in administering the AmeriCorps State & National funding in Arizona.
This position will, in partnership with the AmeriCorps staff team, provide training and technical assistance and compliance monitoring activities for 27 AmeriCorps sub grantees.
Additionally, this position will also participate in community outreach and events such as the annual Summit on Volunteerism and Civic Engagement, Service Saturday at the State Fair, the Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards and National Service Recognition night.
•Provides training and technical assistance to a subset of the AmeriCorps portfolio (6-10 sub grantees), and available to help all sub grantees as needed
•Maintains program files including records in CNCS online grants management systems (eGrants), in GOYFF internal Grant Information Management System (GIMS), and in electronic form within GOYFF
•Assists AmeriCorps Director in the planning and coordination of the annual Summit on Volunteerism and Civic Engagement and Service Saturday at the Arizona State Fair. This includes facilitating the workshop request for proposal (RFP) process, securing keynote presenters and coordinating logistics
•Communicates the AmeriCorps grant guidelines, provisions, regulations and handbooks as well as the CNCS main initiatives, special initiatives, and current priorities to interested stakeholders
•Attends conferences and trainings related to AmeriCorps, national service and volunteerism as requested, including potential in-state and out of state travel
•Monitors programmatic and financial progress report submission and provides timely feedback to programs; coordinates, conducts, and reports on programmatic and fiscal site visits
•Maintains up to date knowledge of AmeriCorps Programs and the federal agency, its initiatives and available resources, as well as changes to compliance guidelines, grant terms and conditions, etc
•Helps to support and develop implementation of Arizona Management System (AMS) metrics and standards throughout all areas of work
•Serves as staff for workgroups of the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism as needed
•Coordinates grant close-outs, and program continuation processes
•AmeriCorps and/or the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS)
•Administering and/or monitoring federal or state grants
•Developing and facilitating group training both in-person and on virtual platforms
•Computer competency (word processing, spreadsheets, database, etc.)
•Communicate effectively with all levels of the public (local, state, federal and non-profit organizations) and department staff, both orally and in writing)
•Analyze, interpret and communicate technical information effectively to applicable audience
•Prepare complete and concise reports
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with preferred area of study in Business or Public Administration, Non-profit management, Social Work or a closely related field
•AmeriCorps alumni or experience managing an AmeriCorps Program and/or AmeriCorps members
•Experience with Google Suite and eGrants federal grant management system preferred
