The Graphic Designer 2 is the lead storyteller and visual strategist for the agency, creating complex, professional designs, branding, and multimedia projects with high degree of independence. This position collaborates directly with internal and external stakeholders to translate data, policy, community, and agency initiatives into engaging communications, including digital and traditional mediums including website management, digital advertisement, large scale environmental graphics, and venue signage. The Graphic Designer 2 manages visual projects independently from initial stakeholder meetings and creative brief development through their final technical production and delivery.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

• Conceptualize, design, and produce venue signage for Coliseum and Fairground events, State Fair programming, and venue operations.
• Develop creative assets for venue marketing, including digital advertising, out of home, social media video graphics, email assets, flyers, brochures, banners, promotional items, and presentations.
• Manage and maintain website content, graphics, and time sensitive updates, includes development landing pages, coordination with IT, e-commerce, and website developer vendor.
• Manage high volume internal large format signage printer, including design, printing, finishing, installation coordination, inventory, and maintenance.
Knowledge of:
• Branding, design structures, typography, color theory, and current industry software;
• Comprehensive knowledge of creative workflow processes, production timelines, and deadline driven environments;
• Web design principles, digital content management systems, and online publishing platforms;
• Print production processes, file preparation, finishing materials and techniques, and installation methods
• Familiarity with large format printing equipment and supplies;
• Digital and visual ADA guidelines;
• Illustration techniques and principles.
Skills in:
• Managing multiple high priority deadlines simultaneously, and project management;
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud;
• Excellent proofreading and attention to detail;
• Advanced proficiency in WordPress, and HTML.
Ability to:
• Work independently with limited oversight, present concepts to internal and external stakeholders, and receive and integrate feedback;
• Prioritize multiple projects and produce accurate, and high quality assets;
• Flexibility to support entertainment venue-related production needs;
• Manage agency printing budget.
• Experience in entertainment, events, photography, video editing, and motion graphics.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or related field.
