The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Habilitation Service Project Coordinator. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Reviews, assesses, and determines completeness of licensing applications and home studies (process license applications within required time frames; assess the family's qualifications, fitness, and safety; ensure applications and home studies are in compliance with licensing regulations, statutes, and associated policy and procedures.
•Updates and inputs information to the electronic application system (Quick Connect).
•Makes recommendations in relation to licensure or denial of licensure.
•Provides technical and/or administrative assistance related to licensing rules. Completes special projects and any other job related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge in:
•Federal and State laws, regulations, and policies governing/pertaining to individuals with developmental disabilities, Developmental Homes (Articles 10 and 11), Licensing, Foster •Homes, and Fingerprinting (including but not limited to Arizona Administrative Codes, Arizona Revised Statues, and Regulatory Administrative Principles).
Skills In:
•Excellent written and verbal communication, including to clearly convey complex regulatory issues in a concise and effective manner to affected individuals.
•Critical analysis of written and verbal communication.
•Interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, facilitation of group interaction for staff members.
•Strong computer skills which include MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, database management software programs, and web-based applications such as Quick Connect.
•Reviewing, understanding, and interpreting Federal and State laws regarding the provisions of services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
•Organizational/workload management.
•Customer service.
Ability to:
•Formulate, interpret, and explain policies, rules, and regulations.
•Analyze information, identify problems, forecast consequences, and develop solutions.
•Make recommendations that are supported by licensing requirements of contractual mandates.
•Establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues, staff, other departments, and the public at large Demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and professionalism when representing the department.
•Understand and address the concerns of individuals regulated by OLCR.

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period.
