Job Summary:

ADEQ Human Potential Office is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. This position will champion and drive ADEQ’s Workforce and Data Analytics, developmental programs, including workforce and succession planning. This individual will collaborate with all members of the HPO team and agency-wide management on implementing innovative inclusive workforce strategies and identify solutions for retention and growth.

Job Duties:

Primary Responsibilities:
• Creates and analyzes workforce analytics to support agency-wide decision-making, forecast retention strategies, and leads strategic initiatives for agency-wide transformation and innovation.
• Provides consultative services to ADEQ hiring managers and leadership to increase productivity, support the development of agency-wide capabilities, including the ability to acquire, develop and retain talent.
• Provides guidance and research on workforce data analytics and succession planning, identify divisional skill gaps and anticipate recruitment needs, research, develop and implement strategic recruitment initiatives in support of agency and division goals.
• Conducts stay and exit interviews, monitors retention/turnover and provides strategies/solutions for Career Path, Retention and Belonging initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts and manage recruitment subscriptions such as LinkedIn and ZipRecruiter. Join social media groups and professional networks to establish talent pipelines for ADEQ.
• Focus on identifying and understanding outliers – both the good and bad – and for implementing projects and change based on data-driven insights.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

• Knowledge of recruiter technology including software applications and databases.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for marketing products and services.
• Skills in research and data analysis methods and techniques including compiling and analyzing reports.
• Skills in analyzing and evaluating a variety of materials for recruitment and selection (such as statistical data, reports, candidate resumes and credentials, etc.).
• Ability to network and develop interpersonal relations and provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
• Ability to develop and implement recruiting strategies including trends and best practice guidelines for recruitment and selection, and diverse sourcing methods such as AZ job board, social media, etc.).

Selective Preference(s):

• Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, Personnel Management
• 3-5 years’ experience in a lead recruiter/headhunter position
• Professional HR Certification (CP/SCP) Preferred
