This is a project-based position with an anticipated start date of September 2022 and end date of September 2025 subject to the needs of the agency and budget availability. This position will fill the duties and responsibilities of a current employee assigned to the implementation of the State's new HRIS system

Job Summary:

The largest government human resources system in Arizona is managed by the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), Human Resources Division (HRD). ADOA HRD aspires to recruit and retain a world-class workforce to serve the citizens of Arizona.  ADOA HRD is actively recruiting a HRIS HR Ops Manager. This position supervises the HRIS HR Central team and HRIS Service desk team by setting priorities, providing support/direction and dealing with administrative issues as needed. The HRIS HR Ops Manager makes decisions guided by policies, procedures and HRIS system limitations. Elevates HRIS service desk problems to the HRIS business team for resolution. The HRIS HR Ops Manager guides the HRIS central operations team in activities driven by the Governor's office and/or legislative changes.

Job Duties:
  • Monitor HRIS service desk calls, remove roadblocks for team members on the phones. Monitor Service Desk metrics to drive constant customer service improvements. 
  • Oversee HRIS HR Central team - Ensure keying of inter-agency transfers, history corrections, table maintenance, process level creation and agency mass loads are done in a timely manner. Ensure system audits are being performed and issues are being addressed with the agencies when they occur 
  • Manage day to day operations of the HRIS HR Central team and the HRIS Service Desk team. Attend change control board meets and coordinate the design, testing and implementation with other business leads on any changes to the existing HRIS system 
  • Ensure changes to the existing HRIS Infor system and/or operations that impact the HRIS modernization project are communicated to leadership.
  • Guide teams in creating standard work for new central/help desk business process changes as a result of the HRIS modernization project. 
  • Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Selective Preference(s):
  • Five or more years in operations program management. 
  • Five or more years in State service or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration 
  • Two or more years of experience with Infor Lawson HR systems 
  • Relevant professional certifications.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Background and reference check, including a state and federal criminal records check 
  • Requires possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driving training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).
