The Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections (ADJC) is searching for an energetic, outgoing, and self-motivated individual who would be responsible for operations, on and off boarding, utilizing the state’s Human Resources system to process employee actions.
- Conducting New Employee Orientation both at Central Office and Adobe Mountain School.
- Processing employee actions into AZ360 to include, new hires, salary adjustments, supervisor changes and separations.
- CORP Secretary responsibilities to include processing retirement deductions and transactions.
- Reviews and process employment eligibility to ensure federal requirements are met.
- Supports the Arizona Management System (AMS) by participating in team huddle board meetings, tracking and reporting turnover metrics, and authoring/updating operations unit standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitors and process hiring and retention incentives, uniform allowance and step pay plans.
Knowledge of:
Personal computers and use of various software programs including human resources recruitment software, video conferencing, and the Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Arizona Department of Administration Personnel rules, and federal and state employment laws and regulations
Skill in:
Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
Time management and organization
Customer Service
Ability to:
Maintain confidentiality
Adapt to a changing environment
Analyze and evaluate HR data
- Two years of hands-on experience in handling personnel actions, including but not limited to new hires, promotions, salary calculations and separations.
-Proficiency in utilizing the PageUp system and AZ360 system.
- Knowledge of ASRS/CORP retirement systems
REQUIRED: Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a comprehensive background investigation. No felony convictions.

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license records checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked or suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.010).
