Job Summary:

The Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring a well-organized, efficient, and positive experience for candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers. Will provide day-to-day support for the recruitment team, use sound judgment, tact and diplomacy in his/her interactions and coordinate efforts to facilitate and expedite recruitment initiatives. Manages and provides progress status and updates to the respective recruiter. Problem solves delays and escalates roadblocks to the Recruitment Manager when needed.

Job Duties:
  • Conducts thorough, accurate and timely pre-employment verification and reference checks for candidates who are being considered for employment and personnel file reviews for State employees.
  • Update Recruitment Tracking Log as needed.
    Maintain human resources information system records in electronic formats.
  • Receives hiring packets for filled/closed positions and coordinates receipt of missing documents from hiring managers and/or recruiters.
    Provides administrative support for job fairs attendance, such as developing and printing flyers and gathering giveaways for the event, etc.
  • May attend job fairs or other off-site recruitment efforts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

  • Or ability to learn, understand and apply state and federal laws, as well as, state and agency rules, procedures and policies.
  •  Data collection, tabulation and analysis.
  •  HR systems (PageUp)
  • Recruitment practices and procedures in conducting employment verification and work reference checks.
  • Performance Management (PM), and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Lean methodologies.


Skilled in:

  •  Communicating effectively orally and in writing, responding to a wide range of personnel inquiries and situations with accuracy and diplomacy.
  •  Exceptional customer service techniques.
  •  Use of office equipment, Microsoft suites, Google suites and various computer programs.
  •  Problem solving techniques.
  •  Time management and organization.

Ability to:

  • Establishing priorities within limited resources.
  • Follow instructions. cooperating and coordinating with others to accomplish common goals and tasks.

Selective Preference(s):

Two or more years experience working as a HRIS Specialist or HR Analyst; work experience in data entry and record/document maintenance. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or closely related field may substitute for relevant experience. Relevant HR Certification.

Retirement:

To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will make a contribution to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution. In other words, you and the State will each pay 50% of the total cost of the benefit.
