HR INTERN

Salary:  $19 hourly

Grade: 4

Job Summary:

The intern within the Human Resources Administration is assigned under the direction of the Data Analytics Administrator and is responsible for gathering and analyzing HR data, assisting in project management efforts, and supporting members of the initiatives and analytics team.


This position is available for a hybrid work schedule within Arizona.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform statistical analysis on key qualitative and quantitative HR data
• Analyze trends to support strategic HR initiatives
• Prepare presentations and other forms of data visualization techniques to communicate results and value to stakeholders
• Assist initiatives and analytics team members in managing small-sized projects, using agreed upon project management methodologies

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
• Theoretical and practical aspects of project management
• Familiarity with Project Management Body of Acknowledgement
• Office practices and procedures

Skilled in:
• Interpersonal, written, and oral communications
• Basic project coordination skills
• Analysis and interpretation of data
• Prioritize and organize multiple tasks

Ability to:
• Respond to customer needs
• Take a customer-centric approach to problem solving
• Use time efficiently
• Communicate activities and results appropriately
• Work collaboratively in a team

Selective Preference(s):

• Candidate must be currently enrolled in a four-year degree seeking program from an accredited college or university.
• Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a Letter of Recommendation from a professor or guidance counselor

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
