We are looking for a very professional individual responsible for the recruitment of qualified applicants for the position of Correctional Officer for the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) along with the Recruitment Unit for Selection and Hiring (RUSH). The Human Resources Support Supervisor will also supervise RUSH Operations Staff to ensure applicants are being recruited and processed in accordance with Personnel Rules, ADCRR policy, and AZPOST Rules.

Job Duties:

- Prepares reports to coordinates recruitment and hiring activities
- Evaluates daily work of operational staff
- Ensures applicants are being processed in an efficient manner
- Reviews applicant files from satellite offices
- Effective oral presentations required
- Coordinates with various resource centers
- Presents department’s benefits to applicants
- Addresses community organizations
- Use internet resources to benefit recruitment
- Schedules applicants for processing phases of the hiring process
- Communicates verbally and in writing with applicants concerning their status in the hiring process in person, on telephone, by email or U.S. Mail
- Processes and tracks paperwork concerning applicants applying for pay incentive and waivers
- Conducts Evaluations Centers, i.e., prepares testing materials, provides verbal instruction, administers written tests, scores written tests, fingerprints applicants and copies documents
- Extends job offers to qualified applicants
- Prepares Correctional Officer Training Academy (COTA) Rosters
- Coordinates and/or plans out of state recruitment trips including evaluation centers and job fairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned as related to the position
- Required to drive on state business

Selective Preference(s):

- Experience in a position such as a Personnel Analyst I, or experience in professional personnel work.
- Bachelor's degree in Personnel Management

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
