As an Information Systems Compliance Auditor (IT Auditor), you will be part of a team that helps review IT internal controls during financial, compliance, and performance audits. Your audit clients may include state agencies, counties, community college districts, and school districts. You will learn and apply IT best practices in audit scenarios and will continually expand your IT knowledge. You and your team will prepare findings and recommendations meant to improve IT internal controls and help ensure the security and operations of state, county, school district, and other government entities.
Information Systems Compliance Auditor (IT Auditors), with the support of their team, conduct audits including IT security and IT regulatory compliance, and provide technical support to the Office’s financial audit, performance audit, and school district auditing teams. IT Auditors will assist with audit planning, execution, and reporting, and following up on open audit issues and recommendations. As an IT Auditor, you will prepare high-quality working papers to support audit conclusions and recommendations within defined deadlines. Working closely with audit teams across the Office, IT Auditors keep teams informed of progress and are focused on learning technical IT competencies.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, employees currently work a hybrid in-person/telecommuting schedule. This schedule is subject to change. Additionally, the Office has implemented safety guidelines and protocols for our team members to follow to help ensure their and agency personnel's safety.
• Researching standards, best practices, laws and regulations, and other applicable resources.
• Understanding and evaluating auditees’ essential IT systems, controls, and security and verifying and analyzing data.
• Evaluating auditees’ internal controls and conducting interviews with auditee management and personnel.
• Preparing and assisting in reviewing audit documentation that supports IT audit work.
• Developing and/or delivering training sessions to internal staff and outside entities.
• Accepting and responding to supervisor and manager feedback in a positive and timely manner.
Depending on your experience, you could be hired as:
IT Auditor I:
$50,000 (Bachelor's degree)
$53,000 (Master's degree)
OR
IT Auditor II:
$53,800 (Bachelor's degree)
$56,800 (Master's degree)
$2,000 Sign-On Bonus
The ideal candidate will have the following:

Our preferred candidate will have a computer science or cyber security degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA and 1 years' experience.
Minimum requirement:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a field emphasizing analytical skills, research, and data evaluation or information technology or computer science with a 3.0 GPA.
