Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Administration is seeking an intern to provide critical support to the Arizona Management System (AMS), from its application to monitoring performance. The candidate will gain first hand Lean Management experience and will acquire multiple Lean certifications that they will be able to apply throughout their career.

Job Duties:
  • Complete multiple trainings related to AMS and Lean concepts
  • Maintain agency ScoreCard
  • Facilitate monthly business reviews
  • Assist with ADOA quarterly goals
  • Drive completion of the quarterly dashboard
  • Maintain the Office of Strategy and Continuous Improvement (OSCI) folder
  • Develop standard work for the department and agency
  • Arrange meetings and contribute to OSCI action items
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
  • Knowledge and aptitude with Google Suite products (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Forms, Chat, Meet, etc.)
  • Skilled in interpersonal communications and connections
  • Ability to problem solve in a creative manner
Selective Preference(s):
  • Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Engineering Management, or a related field
  • Desire to learn Lean methodologies
  • Experience with or knowledge of metrics development, continuous improvement, strategy development, and/or statistics
