We are looking for an outstanding Investigator and Loss Prevention Coordinator. This important position is responsible for the operation of the medical records program of the Arizona Department of Veterans Services – Administration in Phoenix.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

• Maintains all agency fixed asset records, subsystems, and files in compliance with agency and General Accounting Office (GAO) in the State of Arizona Accounting Manual (SAAM) standards.
• Manages the end-to-end asset life-cycle, including tag distribution, inventory tracking and surplus disposal coordination.
• Coordinates the agency’s annual physical inventory of fixed assets by training and guiding staff.
• Develops and executes a sample review plan, visiting agency locations to verify the inventory accuracy.
• Monitors agency loss history across all claim types (Worker’s Compensation injuries, property damage, fleet losses, third party liability claims and environment claims) and assists in developing corrective action plans to reduce exposure.
• Develops and executes an agency-wide self-inspection program, conducting monthly scheduled audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develops, maintains, and audits the agency’s Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and emergency management standards.
• Leads annual COOP training, manages compliance tracking for mandatory FEMA courses, and designs headquarters tabletop exercises.
• Provides risk management and safety technical assistance to staff and serves as the agency liaison to ADOA Risk Management.
• Evaluates operations using the ADOA-RMD Safety Maturity Score System and completes assigned safety investigations and projects.
• Investigates serious accidents, injuries, theft, and abuse allegations to prepare findings and recommend corrective actions. Monitors and documents all resolution progress.
• Coordinates regional safety and risk management programs with leadership to ensure total regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates the agency’s Records Retention Program, ensuring compliance with archiving, disposition, and reporting mandates while providing technical guidance on government document storage.
• Coordinates the agency’s vehicle fleet management program, ensuring compliance of maintenance, replacement, disposition and reporting requirements for vehicles and fuel cards.
