POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports statewide reporting through data collection, validation, and maintenance of statistical and survey data; processing datasets and reporting interfaces in SAS; maintaining webpages and dashboard content; and assisting courts with reporting requirements and statistical inquiries. This position handles and prioritizes incoming data requests and contributes to analysis, research activities, literature review, report writing, and dashboard development, while working under the general direction of senior statistical analysts.

This position will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, maintain modify, and develop data-entry interfaces for surveys and monthly reports, develop testing scenarios and conduct testing of statistical and detailed reports, as well as assist in coaching, mentoring, and training less-experienced programmers and new staff on statistical processes. Additionally, this position will develop testing scenarios and conduct testing of statistical and detailed reports, and provide onsite or virtual training to court personnel on data-submission processes and develop presentations for trainings or conferences.

After an initial in-person period of at least three months, this position may offer the option to work remotely up to two days per week, depending on departmental business needs and continually meeting expected performance measures.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a degree in criminal justice, social science, or a related field, with coursework in research methods, statistics, or database management. Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement. Minimum of three years of applied statistical research or relational database experience. This position requires proficiency with statistical analytic software, including understanding database structures and relationships, building queries, maintaining existing programs, and developing new programs for data entry, reporting, and analysis. Knowledge of social science research methods or principles of statistical analysis, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with committees, judges, court administrators, clerks of court, agency personnel, and the public, and strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow to meet deadlines. Also, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions. This position also requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the ability to handle confidential information, and follow instructions accurately.

The preferred candidate will have familiarity with courts and the criminal justice system, coursework in database management, statistics, or technical/computer-related subjects, and proficiency in in the SAS statistical package, including understanding database structures and relationships, building queries, maintaining existing programs, and developing new SAS programs for data entry, reporting, and analysis.

Travel level: Up to 10%. Must possess and maintain a valid, Real ID-compliant Arizona driver’s license
