POSITION SUMMARY:
An outstanding opportunity awaits an individual who is looking to join a highly skilled and motivated team of IT professionals. This technical position requires performance of complex technical and administrative functions ensuring the availability of the Arizona Supreme Court’s Statewide Telecommunications.

Essential functions include:

  • Overall management of the AS 400 systems and the personnel responsible for the daily administration
  • Ensures AS 400 systems resources are available to the court user community as scheduled.
  • Ensures that all Telecommunications is available 24X7.
  • Provides system support, including implementing system-level security and configuration standards.
  • Manages the implementation and documentation of system policies and procedures.
  • Provides monthly performance statistics on the AS 400 servers.
  • Responsible for testing the AS400 recovery processes on a routine basis.
  • Supervises the activities of the AS 400 backup administrator.
  • Functions as the control point for identifying, troubleshooting and resolving system problems
  • Consult with users on software or hardware requirements.
  • Responsible for all AS400 backup administration duties including on-call.
  • Responsible for VOIP (over 700 devices) troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Responsible for VOIP setup and procedures for future user installations.
  • Monitor’s system backups procedures, including backup processes, tape retention/storage and recovery processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field. Relevant work experience may substitute for educations requirements. LAN/WAN and AS400 environment may substitute for educational requirements as well as VOIP experience. Minimum of five years’ experience with client/server systems; and at least two years on an AS400 system. This position also requires technical support experience with AS 400 servers and the Latest OS 400, technical experience in a multi-system and/or multi-platform environment, technical understanding of Local and Wide Area Networks, and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users.

The preferred candidates will have knowledge of the court system, working knowledge of windows 10, as well as knowledge of the AS/400 DB2 database and SQL Applications development and system performance tuning, and experience with VOIP configuration and maintenance.
