Job Summary:

Responsibilities for this position may include providing legal advice to Department staff on water law and administrative law issues, representing the Department in administrative and judicial proceedings, including the general stream adjudication, participating in meetings and negotiations related to water rights and uses, and drafting rules, laws and contracts.

Selective Preference(s):

A minimum of two years of experience as an attorney, including litigation experience, is preferred.

Graduation from an accredited law school and Arizona Bar membership is required.

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement system (ASRS). Please note, enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment. The current contribution rate is 12.41%.
