The licensing specialist processes all application types for the Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board.
The ideal candidate is familiar with relevant statutes and rules and is able to process all license applications and renewal types, as assigned, in a timely manner, utilizing critical thinking skills.
Follows up on deficient items in a timely manner and performs any other responsibilities as required.
This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (Wednesdays in the office/hoteling).
• Analyze, verify, interpret, and track primary source documentation received in support of license applications to determine the validity and completeness of documents and identify deficiencies
• Process, evaluate, and input applicant information into the database to ensure all requirements to be licensed are met and provided to the licensing leader for approval
• Respond to requests either verbally or in writing regarding application status and processes related to Arizona licensure, ensuring that statutes and rules are followed
• Approval and issuance of licenses according to Arizona Revised Statutes and Arizona Administrative Code
