Join the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), General Services Division, and become a vital part of the team that keeps state government connected! As a Mail Clerk, you'll be at the heart of our bustling mail operations, providing essential inter-agency mail service to 93 state agencies. Imagine the impact of processing approximately 1,000,000 pieces of outbound mail each year for 70 agencies! Your day will involve expertly sorting inbound mail, meticulously preparing tracking sheets for important signature mail, and even participating in security screening to ensure the integrity of our mail flow. You'll also enjoy the independence of managing daily mail routes, loading your vehicle, and making deliveries and collections across assigned locations. Beyond delivery, you'll gain experience in preparing outbound mail using specialized equipment like folder/inserters, processing items through postage meters and shipping software, and coordinating with various postal and package delivery services. This role offers the opportunity to operate a range of printers for diverse tasks, including folding and inserting, envelope printing, and even check printing. You'll also utilize a large document scanner for efficient inbound mail processing and document archival. Finally, you'll be a key point of contact, interacting directly with ADOA mail room customers, both in person and over the phone, to address their general inquiries.
