Immunization Interoperability Analyst

Job Summary:

At the direction of the Immunization Interoperability Coordinator the primary responsibilities of this position shall be to perform broad scope of complex, program specific analyses of the ASIIS (Arizona Immunization Information System) onboarding systems which connect well over 3000 Arizona Providers electronic reporting systems to ASIIS on a daily basis for the tracking of vaccines administered to Arizona residents.

This position will be responsible for on-boarding (connecting private health reporting systems to ASIIS electronically) using analysis software, conducting research, performing data analytics, quality assurance activities and data quality activities. The position communicates clearly and effectively with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.

Job Duties:

Provide technical and program support to IIS partners that are onboarding to the ASIIS immunization information exchange. Collects data and conducts comprehensive research and analysis related to process and data work flow. Coordinate with other testing staff to facilitate testing of messaging format, content and transport functionality.

Continuous quality assurance activity for ASIIS data requiring proficiency in ASIIS/IWeb and PHC Hub applications

Performs data deduplication in the ASIIS application.

Ensure alignment with all relevant national IIS and health information exchange standards for messaging format, content, and transport functions.

Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
-Performance Management (PM), and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Lean methodologies.
-Knowledge of immunization terminology and practices, and the data elements that support them.
-Knowledge of relevant IIS standards, including HL7 2.x and SOAP/Web Services.
-Knowledge of HL7 format structure.
-Knowledge of techniques sufficient to collect, analyze, interpret and summarize data in a narrative or graphical format.
-Knowledge of testing and troubleshooting techniques.
-Knowledge of general data quality concepts.

Skill in:
-Skills to learn R/Python and SQL for scripting, programming in R/Python and SQL.

Ability to:

Selective Preference(s):

Three years of management analysis experience appropriate to the assignment; OR five years of experience appropriate to the assignment; Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment will substitute for one or two years of the required experience respectively, but will not substitute for the required management analysis experience. HL7 and IIS experience highly desired

Retirement:

To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will contribute to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution.
