Job Summary:

At the direction of the Immunizations Data Quality Manager, the primary responsibilities of this position shall be to perform a broad scope of complex, program-specific analyses of the ASIIS and MyIR Mobile data sets using analysis software, matching the data sets, conducting research, and performing data analytics. This includes understanding the data in the system, the database structure, the ASIIS User Interface (UI), and other systems necessary to complete duties.

The position works closely with the IIS teams to address systemic data quality issues.

Job Duties:

- Plans and conducts complex information extracts from the ASIIS database and conducts an analysis of the extracted information to determine the cause for inadequate data quality. Gathers data and information to define data quality needs and conducts comprehensive research and analysis related to data quality.
- Perform ASIIS, MyIR Mobile, and data exchange analysis and performs a broad scope of difficult, sensitive, and complex tasks. Uses the ASIIS application, the MyIR Admin module, and other services and performs data matching. Communicates information and results to consumers.
- Performs data deduplication in the ASIIS application and coordinates data deduplication activities with the ASIIS team. Analyses and evaluates the ASIIS data and performs data merge. Documents findings and prepares comprehensive reports.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
- Principles and practices of public administration with an emphasis on effective planning, organization, and management.
- Relevant software and computer query and reporting tools, such as SQL.
- Large databases and database functions/utilities.
- General data quality concepts.
- Performance Management (PM), Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and Lean methodologies.

Skill in:
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
- Document status and outputs of projects and processes.
- Coordinating diverse activities to ensure completion of projects, tasks, and assignments.

Ability to:
- Analyze problems, break them down to their elemental level, and propose and test possible solutions.

- Learn application software for the registry database (ASIIS/IWeb) and demonstrate proficiency in its use after the first 3 months of employment.
- Quickly learn data fields commonly used in clinical practices to record patient demographics and vaccination encounters.
- Evaluate information against a set of standards of information integrity and comparability.

Selective Preference(s):

Preference is given to applicants with at least five years of management analysis experience; A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment will substitute for one or two years of the required experience respectively. SQL and data quality experience desired.
