The Management Analyst position will complete comprehensive reviews and analysis of initial general public rate and rate adjustments proposed by ambulance providers. The individual in the role provides consultation, assistance, and technical expertise in the rate analysis process to internal and external stakeholders.
− Performing financial analyses on initial general public rates, general rate adjustments, and automatic rate adjustments
− Consulting with providers regarding the rule, statute, and technical guidance
− Consulting with team members on current topics that may impact the rate-setting process
− Addressing questions from the public regarding billing complaints and general ambulance operations
− Various duties such as assisting with audits, staff meetings, weekly reports, maintenance of financial statements and records
− General accounting theory and financial evaluation techniques, audit theory.
− Specific state statutes and rules
− General functions of ambulance services regarding organizations, methods of dispatch, functions of emergency medical technicians
− General philosophy of third-party payor mechanisms regarding Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
− Performance Management (PM), and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and Lean methodologies
− Effective interpersonal communication skills
− Competency in financial analysis
− Computer literacy
− Microsoft Excel data entry
− Interpret state statute and rule and apply to situations that may vary in terms of complexity and frequency
− Analyze financial data accurately to develop meaningful conclusions
− Provide impartial financial evaluations
− Manage time and tasks is essential

The ideal candidate will have:
− Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or a related field with 4 years of work experience in a related field
− Master's degree will substitute for 2 years of work experience
Driving is required for State Business.
