The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an expert, forward-thinking Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies for Arizona Correctional Industries (ACI). This position oversees brand identity, advertising campaigns, content creation, and digital marketing to promote ACI’s products, services, and rehabilitative mission. Collaborates across departments to support sales, recruitment, training initiatives, and stakeholder engagement. Also supports employer branding, internal campaigns, and storytelling that highlights inmate success, workforce programming, and social impact.

Marketing Strategy & Brand Oversight:
- Develops and implements a comprehensive marketing strategy that promotes ACI’s brand, mission, and offerings
- Manages ACI’s visual identity and ensures consistency across platforms
- Supports campaigns that showcase products, inmate training, and workforce development goals
Advertising & Campaign Development:
- Plans, designs, and executes print, digital, and social media advertising campaigns to promote ACI’s divisions and initiatives
- Coordinates messaging with sales, business development, and reenetry goals
- Ensures campaigns align with brand guidelines and state compliance
Internal & External Communications:
- Creates newsletters, internal updates, and storytelling content to support staff engagement and inmate training awareness
- Develops public-facing materials such as brochures, reports, and digital content for stakeholder and community education
Digital Content & Social Media Management
- Oversees website content and social media accounts
- Tracks performance metrics, manages publishing calendars, and optimizes digital strategies for audience growth and engagement
Cross-Agency Coordination & Support:
- Collaborates with workforce development, sales, education, and reentry teams to support aligned messaging
- Provides marketing support for training programs, special projects, and employer outreach
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge of:
- Marketing Strategy, branding, and campaign development
- Graphic design principles and content production workflows
- Government communication protocols and public sector messaging
- Digital platforms, including social media, email marketing, and website Contact Management Systems
- Supervision or training principles and practices
Skill in:
- Creative direction and copywriting
- Advertising and promotional campaign development
- Visual storytelling and brand positioning
- Collaboration across cross-functional teams
- Analytics and reporting using tools
Ability to:
- Communicate complex ideas simply and clearly to diverse audiences
- Balance brand storytelling with compliance and mission sensitivity
- Support multiple campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously
- Represent ACI’s mission and offerings to the public, partners, and media
- Manage creative contractors or endeors as needed
- At least three (3) years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, or communications
- One or more years of experience in a supervisory or project management role
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels
- Strong writing, editing, and design coordination skills
- Proficiency with marketing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, multiple social media platforms, and content management systems
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
