Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Region Manager, the Park Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Lyman Lake State Park.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Job Duties:

- Operates Park with a business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit that focuses on revenue generation, cost effectiveness, and innovation. Oversees day-to-day operations and maintenance of the park. Develops and manages park's operating budget and revenue targets on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. Responsible for collecting park fees and revenue and all related accounting tasks. Responsible for all park operating expenditure, purchases and donations.

- Develops partnerships through fostering and maintaining positive relationships with external organizations, such as, but not limited to, friends groups, chambers of commerce, media, special interest groups, elected officials, and local, state and federal agencies.

- Performs administrative duties such as preparing reports, project management, and updating the parks Annual Operating Plan. Provides supervision, training and performance management of Assistant Park Managers, Park Ranger Seniors, Park Rangers, Park Ranger Assistants and Volunteers.

- Establishes maintenance standards, repairs, projects necessary to meet needs of park resources, visitors and staff. Duties include, but are not limited to: cleaning restrooms, trash removal, trail maintenance, painting, trimming, plumbing, vehicle repair, and other general cleaning/maintenance duties. Responsible for drinking and wastewater operations oversight. Monitors park construction projects through site visits, coordination with ASPT development staff and park staff.

- Prepare and/or approve various written and computerized reports including employee time, park activity, attendance/revenue, purchasing ledgers, deposit recaps, construction activities, volunteer documents, and make bank deposits when necessary. Participate and represent agency in a variety of capabilities (e.g. public meetings, trainings, committees, and public outreach). Collaborate and foster good public relations with park visitors. Responsible for coordinating special events.

Directs and/or performs park maintenance, improvement projects and park inventories.
Participates and represents Agency in a variety of capacities (e.g. public meetings).
Ensures compliance with all park policies and procedures while conserving the natural resources and ensuring public safety for our customers and employees.
Ensures that Lyman Lake State Park adhere to federal/state/agency laws, statutes, policies and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring mandatory training is completed by self and staff participating in the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry program and maintaining strict security protocols.
Operates watercraft and ensures navigational aide are in compliance with Uniform State Waterway Marking Systems and Coast Guard regulation standards.

Live on park, relocate to another state park seasonally and/or permanently on a periodic basis.
Successfully complete State of AZ Boating Safety Course.
Ability to drive state vehicles.
Ability to obtain and maintain valid driver's license.

Selective Preference(s):

An ideal candidate would have a minimum of three years of experience in an Assistant Manager role or the equivalent in a park setting. OR five years experience in a supervisory role in a park setting - Bachelors degree in Park Management, Natural Resource Management, Recreation, or a closely related field may be substituted for two years of work experience.

Class D Motor Vehicle Drivers License
